I have roam like home and I am in Niece at the moment but my cellular connection keeps dropping quite often even though I have all the strength bars lit up and the a LTE connection. When I go to my email or safari, it says to turn on your cellular data, which is on. I have to factory reset my networks settings and it works again but again only for a tenth of time. Any one have any suggestions to correct this pls? I am here for business and this is disrupting the communication between my clients. Not sure if there is a fix for this problem but people in India that call her number are forced to pay international rates since they are calling a Canadian number, any ideas on how this can be avoided?
Use your plan's data, talk and text freely on your next trip for a low daily fee! You can access the 5G network while roaming on select 5G devices in an area where there is 5G coverage. If you use Roam Like Home in a destination for more than 15 days during the same billing cycle, you will not incur additional daily fees.

Yesterday I called her from my 604 number and her caller id showed a completely random local India number. The borders are protected from "Roaming Zones" which means when you live near a border and accidentally ping of a US tower, you won't be charged. Bell is worse, at least Rogers refunded you %50 of the charges, on the other hand Bell won’t refund anything as the charges was legit. Interestingly enough, one month later, Rogers called me and asked why I quit. I told the same story again, and Rogers insisted that was my fault. Yes, that's my fault, I didn't know Rogers would charge me "roam like home", my biggest fault is choosing Rogers, and I finally corrected myself by moving to Bell.

The ability to make calls is inconsistant and I keep losing connection to the provider.. I'll be calling customer service once I'm back in Canada. Roam like home is enabled and I can use the internet and receive phone calls, BUT cannot make phone calls to numbers in Canada. Your phone is always using data even when your not actively using it. In fact, there are alternatives to rogers roam like home which you can use and save money while traveling abroad.

If not, you will be charged $12 per day when you travel to US. If you wish to travel to the US or Mexico, you could use your phone there without having to incur huge phone bills like when you use Rogers Roam Like Home. I have compiled a list of SIM cards which are ideal to use while in Mexico and the USA.

Hold yourself accountable and use your brain. I promise to update this list of countries as I come across new SIM cards. If you have any questions or concerns about any of the content I have up on my site, please leave your comment below and I would be more than happy to connect.
Be aware of "roam like home" rogers
Rogers has one of the best cellular networks in the world with service covering more than 95% of Canadians. Canada also features some of the most expensive plans in the world. If you don't need to keep the same phone number, you may be able to jump on a daily or monthly plan once you arrive at your destination. It wasn't long ago that traveling to the US or internationally meant leaving your cell phone at home.
If you are enrolled in a Postpaid wireless plan, you will automatically be enrolled in the Rogers Roam Like Home feature. The pay per use rates will vary from one country to another. For instance, if traveling to Cuba, the pay per use rates would be $2.50 per minute and $1.50 per MB.
I had asked Rogers in the past before I went out of town and they said the local people should pay local calling rates. You will get charged as soon as either 1 text message is sent, a call is made or answered, or any amount of data is used. You are not charged when you're connecting to the US Network or when you receive a text message. Essentially, I'm wondering when the charges kick in. If I'm going to get charged immediately when I connect to AT&T without using any services, then I'm going to want to opt-out.

Carriers typically provide an account management app or website where you can track these details in real-time. The Wireless Code of Conduct only ensures that you don't wind up with a $8,000 bill when you come home. Redemptions must be made in the Rogers Bank app, where eligible Rogers purchases are identified. The daily fee applies separately for each device that uses Roam Like HomeTM. So far I've gotten two "messages" one is "call failed" in the iphone UI.
The other is a recorded voice message from what I believe is the local provider, stating "you are not dialing a valid number", but I get the voice message less often. I have called her 3 times today, all 3 times it has been a different number. Only once was it my actual number but the other 2 times it was completely random. She is also unable to call that number back to reach me or even answer those calls, the line automatically disconnects when she answers.

If I'm only going to be charged when I use a service then I'll stay opt-in. To everyone else, please be aware of the "rome like home", Rogers has this hidden service by default. If this service is good for you, congratulations.
Rogers offers simple and affordable plans for traveling to the US and throughout the world. Roam Like Home plans cost $7/day for the US ($12/day in 125+ other countries) to let you access your talk, text, and data plan while outside Canada. Rogers also offers Canada+US Share plans letting you travel between the two countries without any additional fees.
If you are traveling to India and looking for good SIM cards to use while in India. And please have an unlocked phone with you in order for these SIM cards to work. Having said that, it depend where in the world you plan to travel. Either way, you could seek the use of an international SIM card while abroad without having to acquire enormous bills. In order to use international SIM cards, you must first have an unlocked phone in order for the SIM card to work.

Pay-Per-Use roaming rates automatically apply if you roam in destinations not covered by Roam Like HomeTM or if you opted out of Roam Like HomeTM previously. You will be charged for texts, calls and data usage based on the applicable Pay-Per-Use rates in that destination. There’s no need to remove Roam Like HomeTM when you return to Canada. There are no additional fees to have it on your plan, and you’ll only be charged for Roam Like HomeTM when you use your device in an eligible destination.
But instead of charging you for roaming, they just deduct from your monthly bucket of minutes/texts/data. I ended up calling Rogers support and they told me that as soon as I connect to the network I would get charged. Regardless if I use any data, receive or send any texts, or talk.
